Who are riding lessons for?Riding lessons are for everyone! I would say come try it once! Age is not an issue, we have riders as young as 3 and as old as 92 that have come. We have on-the-ground therapy for those who cannot ride or might want to start slowly. Riding is a great way of gaining confidence, connecting with others, and developing leadership skills. One of the things that Sara never gets sick of observing is her clients overcoming fears or obstacles during their lessons!

What can I expect during my first lesson?Based on skill level and personal goals, Sara will match you with a horse. You'll also be fitted with a saddle and helmet (if you don't have one of your own), and be instructed in horse and tack care. Once you have helped saddle your horse, you'll start riding. You'll learn the terminology that Sara uses for proper positioning on your horse, and how to lead your horse. The first few lessons will be establishing a bond and understanding with your horse.

What horse will I be riding?Everyone has their favorite horse, but not every horse is a match to a rider's ability or goals. We have beginner to advanced horses, and those trained for jumping or western games. The horse you'll be riding really is determined by ability level and the goals the rider will be working towards.
